zucchini soup

Lovely, ever thought of fasting, or are you adept at fasting? Taking a break from food has a lot of benefits, which you can read from this article.

I've been water-fasting lately. For 3 weeks, I did 90, 48, and 75 hours fast consecutively. Fasting helps me feel more grounded, gain more energy, and, most importantly, reduce any inflammation.

It's essential to pay attention to what you consume when breaking a water fast, especially when it exceeds 72 hours! I love making this raw zucchini soup when I'm not having a smoothie.

It's a combination of super healing ingredients, yet readily available! Whether you're breaking a fast or looking for a way to heal your gut, this zucchini soup will be helpful for your body.

Ingredients for raw zucchini soup

Ginger (fresh root and as much as you like).

Turmeric (fresh root)

Zucchini (Preferably, use young zucchini).

Cilantro

Fresh basil

Fresh rosemary

Dry oregano or fresh

Brewed green tea; (make tea and leave it to steep for 3 minutes).

Sea salt (avoid processed salt whenever possible).

Olive oil ( Whenever possible, use cold-pressed oil).

Lemon or lime

How to make zucchini soup

This zucchini soup doesn't require cooking, and it's super easy and quick to make. I'm not telling you this will be the best zucchini soup you've ever had. However, it's super healthy.

  • Brew about 2 cups of green tea with hot water (NOT BOILING).
  • Clean the zucchini, fresh herbs, and roots.
  • Chop the roots.
  • Cut the zucchini into pieces without peeling them.
  • For the fresh herbs, use only the leaves.
  • Place all the ingredients in a blender
  • Strain the green tea and pour it into the blender.
  • Blend into a soup, then serve.

This soup is created to enhance healing; therefore, I use whole foods while keeping it simple.

Can you make this soup in advance?

Even though I recommend you only prepare the amount you need for this soup, you can make extra for a day or two, though the aspect, flavor, and nutrition values will be altered.

You can add other veggies like spinach, kale, or baby chard. The taste of this soup will vary according to the amount of ginger, turmeric, fresh basil, oregano, and green tea used. Therefore, each recipe will be unique.

If taken regularly, this raw zucchini soup contains healing properties to help your body fight inflammation.

Notes

  • This healing zucchini soup is unique because its flavor and taste will depend on the amount of ingredients used. Extra ginger will add spicy notes, more turmeric may offset the flavor, strong green tea will alter the taste, and too much oregano might be overpowering.
  • Make sure to use ONLY young or baby zucchini for the best taste. Young zucchini are high in water, so you do not need extra water.
  • This zucchini soup is raw and very helpful when recovering, after fasting, or when having gastrointestinal issues. However, feel free to add cream and other ingredients if you desire a more hearty soup.
