Macro Vs. Micronutrients - What you Need to Know about Them in your Diet

Video: Macro Vs. Micronutrients and Their Importance in Your Diet

💋 Hi lovelies, after I aired this video. about MACRONUTRIENTS, some of you reached out asking me, "what are refined carbohydrates?"

🧃Refined means that the food is not in its state as we might find it in the nature.

🍎An applesauce, for example, or fruit juices are a good example of processed foods.

🥞However, when we talk of REFINED GRAINS, and in this particular case WHEAT since it's the most processed, we are talking of food that has almost been depleted all its nutrients.

⬇️ In the image below, you can see the whole grain vs processed grain.

🥯So when I mentioned processed carbohydrates, this is what I want you to have in mind, when you are purchasing your food.

🥖REFINED grains and products or food made from these grains are referred to as empty carbohydrates. 🍞Because they only give you carbohydrates without any nutrients. They are the ones that spike your blood sugar.

🍇Make good healthy choices and keep smiling.

Have a beautiful day then. I love you 😍
