Hello there, we're ending this year with this detox salad to help you cleanse your liver! I hope when you look back from the beginning of this year you'll have a lot to be grateful for.

After having gone through the Xmas holidays and the New Year's fete, you'll feel the need to be grounded. It's a really good idea to help your liver cope with all the cleaning up it's been doing during the festive season. There's no better way to cleanse your liver than to use some natural liver cleanse ingredients like red onion and lemons.

Truly, with all those chocolates, sweet candies, cookies, cakes, savory dishes that you've been enjoying these few weeks must have added a load of work to your liver.

Your liver is one of the most essential organs in your body. It's the largest solid organ and the largest gland. It performs over 500 essential tasks to maintain your body. One of the major roles of the liver is detoxifying and purifying the blood.

With this crunchy liver detox salad, you're going to help your liver flush off the toxins and at the same time protect it. You're going to aid it in producing more bile for your digestion.

Ingredients for liver detox salad

This detox salad is colorful and also it's loaded with liver detox veggies.

What you'll get from this liver cleansing detox salad recipe


Cilantro: I love cilantro, do you? It'll supply you with vitamin K, A, E and C. Calcium and Iron. Cilantro rids the body of heavy metals. This will help your liver which is always overworked with heavy toxins.

Red cabbage: Like cilantro, it has vitamins A, K, E and C. It has high dietary fiber. Also high in Potassium. It holds polyphenols Indoles and Anthocyanin. Anthocyanin improves liver function. Cabbage, in general, is great in detoxifying the liver.

Black radish: You'll get vitamin C. It will boost the liver as it contains Selenium. Black radish stimulates bile production by the liver which in turn will carry toxins into the gallbladder for elimination through the intestines.

Ginger: Ginger will aid the liver by reducing the accumulation of fat. It also improves liver damage.

Red onion: It possesses Folic acid, Quercetin which reduces fat accumulation in the liver. It also stimulates the liver. Red onion contains Sulfur which binds to heavy metals and thus enhances detoxification.

Sage herb: It has anti-inflammatory properties. It'll boost your immune system and supply you with vitamin K which essential for your bones.

Lemon: It's a natural cleanser thus a great liver detoxifier. Lemon also dissolves Uric acids and other poisons in the body.

Almonds: They're a good source of Vitamin E, which may protect in liver disease. Also, they're high in magnesium.

Quinoa: Rich in a lot of minerals and antioxidants. It's high in Magnesium, which is helpful in heavy metal detox. Quinoa has Quercetin, another antioxidant that offers protection against heavy metals.

Detox Salad to Help Cleanse Your Liver

This fresh, crunchy Liver detox salad is THE salad to help you flush off the toxins in your liver and body. It's simple and easy to make while it gives maximum benefits.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 cup red cabbage
  • 1 slice of ginger
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • few leaves sage
  • small piece black radish
  • 1 cup cooked cold quinoa
  • 15 almonds
  • 1 lemon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon Cold pressed olive oil

Instructions

  • Start by mincing the garlic, put in a salad bowl.
  • Shred your red cabbage, dice the onion, and put them in the bowl and stir them together.
  • You can either chop your cilantro or use just the leaves. set it aside together with sage leaves.
  • Slice very thin slices of black radish put them with cilantro.
  • Chop your almonds if you want or you can leave them whole.
  • Squeeze your lemon to get the juice. If you desire, dice some lemon skin, if your lemon is organic.
  • Now assemble your crunchy Liver detox salad by bringing everything into the bowl. Mix gently and serve.
