Ingredients

  • a piece of fresh ginger
  • 2 medium oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Warm water without boiling or overheating it
  • Thoroughly clean the fruits and ginger using a brush if possible.
  • Roughly chop ginger into pieces and place them in a blender
  • Peel one orange and keep the peels to make orange peel powder.
  • Cut both oranges into cubes and place them in the blender
  • Cut the lemons into halves and squeeze them to get their juice.
  • Add 1 cup of water to the blender and blend at high speed till smooth
  • Open the blender, add the lemon juice, honey (if using) and the remaining water
  • Close the blender and blend at low speed to mix everything up.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use warm water to preserve all the micronutrients like vitamins A, C, and E.
  • The size of ginger will depend on how much you handle its taste.
  • I only use organic ingredients for this recipe. If it's not your case, peel both oranges.
  • If you don't have a super powerful blender, strain the beverage.
