Ingredients

Frozen Green Beans with Bell Pepper & Sesame

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 a small thumb of ginger
  • 2 big shallots
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • pinch of salt
  • a sprinkle of cayenne pepper
  • about 600g of frozen beans (200g/person) or more
  • dust of bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 long bell pepper
  • a sprinkle of black pepper
  • a handful of fresh herbs; I used cilantro & chives
  • 2 tablespoon roasted sesame
  • 2 tablespoon sunflower seed (optional)
  • ½ lemon

Instructions

Frozen Green Beans with Bell Pepper & Sesame

  • Dice & slice the ginger, garlic, and shallots respectively
  • Put them in an already heating pan at a medium heat
  • Add oil and stir fry these for about 8 mins
  • Add a pinch of salt, sprinkle some cayenne pepper, and stir
  • Bring the frozen beans, increase the heat and stir thoroughly the beans
  • Pass dust of bicarbonate on beans and stir
  • Cover, let them cook for about 8 mins but keep on stirring now & then
  • During this time prepare the herbs and cut the bell pepper into long strips
  • Add the strips of bell pepper to the beans
  • Cover and cook for 4 mins
  • Cut off the heat. Stir gently
  • Add your fresh herbs, sesame, and sunflower seeds
  • Sprinkle with black pepper and squeeze the ½ lemon before serving
